Touch Pro
HTC have just recently officially announced the HTC Touch Pro, the next in their line of high spec smartphones. The Touch Pro is based on the previously announced and highly anticipated HTC Touch Diamond – but the new HTC Touch Pro has the addition of a qwerty keyboard. Despite it being a smartphone with a qwerty keyboard it is not a bulky, ugly looking mobile – it is just 18.1 mm thick and has a sleek black casing.
The HTC Touch Pro features a newly designed QWERTY keyboard which has 5 rows of keys as opposed to 4 rows in its predecessor the HTC TyTN II. Among the many great features of the HTC Touch Pro possibly the most interesting or exciting is the great operating system – which is Windows Mobile 6.1 .
The HTC Touch Pro also features a good 2.8 inch screen which works with the TouchFLO 3D user interface – this interface allows intuitive finger based operation, there is also a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 512 MB internal storage, 288 MB RAM, plus a microSD slot for memory expansion. For the drivers or travellers among you there is an inbuilt GPS receiver, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and the Opera 9.5 web browser.
Despite the abundance of features and high specification of the HTC Touch Pro the battery life is nothing to worry about as it comes with a 1350 mAh battery that is reported to give 8 hours of talk time.
So if your next mobile has to be a smartphone with fantastic features and great looks – the HTC Touch Pro could be the one for you! Look out for it in late summer 2008.
